David Maranha was born in Figueira da Foz during the year of 1969.
In 1986 starts to develop its work as a musician both solo and with several bands.
He creates “osso exótico” in 1989 with André Maranha, António Forte and Bernardo Devlin.
The group has been developing its work with different members being its current formation composed by André Maranha, David Maranha, Francisco Tropa, Manuel Mota and Patrícia Machás.

Has also collaborated with many musicians as Z’EV, Emmanuel Holterbach, Helena Espvall, Phill Niblock, Jochen Arbeit, Minit, David Daniell, Arnold Dreyblatt, Richard youngs, Jacob Kirkegaard, Carla Bozulich, Stephan Mathieu, Chris Cutler, Werner Durand, Robert Rutman, Ben Frost, Helge Sten, etc.
In parallel has been developing his work as an architect since 1993, creating public buildings, such as schools, museums, hospitals, and cemeteries.
